Parents are often seen confused about deciding the right time when to buy them the first bike or when to allow them to go out with friends. Introducing the computer:You can start an introduction to computer at a very early age. Hold your child while you use computer. Child will start noticing colors, pictures and sounds at this age. Using software with adultsBetween the ages 3-4 is able to use simple child games like puzzles and story lines with the assistance of an adult. Teach him how to hold mouse, recognize numbers at the keyboard, and make him recognize different shapes and letters etc. don’t forget to make him learn important computer habits like proper posture and proper distance from the screen.

Using soft wares independentlyMany soft wares are available that don’t require any reading at all. All you need to do is to teach your child use the mouse accurately, and he will do the rest himself. Preschool soft wares are very easy to use, and he/she could use it independently. Child of this age can also turn on and off the system at his own.

Going online with an adultA first grade child who can easily read and understand sentences is appropriate to be made aware of online feature. This is the time when your child starts seeking independence. Enjoy time with them but make sure to introduce your child to safe and appropriate websites and remember to tell them about internet safety.

Email accountWhen your child gets older and lands to higher grades and when his friends start asking him about his email id, then you can make him an email account. Though email needs the child to be able in reading and writing, and a second or third grade child might not be perfect in this regard, so you can assist him writing and reading mails.You can create an account and share the Id with grandparents, aunts, uncles and friendsm make the children know about spam and have a shared password so that you can have an eye on child’s activities.
